Dear Parents/Guardians and Students,
Here we are, ready to start off the 2008 – 2009 school year. Each new school year is a new adventure, and this year should prove no exception. We have several new teachers, each one hand-picked to offer you the very best of everything education has to offer. Please join us in making them welcome at BVES.
Our motto this year is “Wild About Learning!”. We plan to do everything in our power to ensure that our students are motivated to enjoy learning. Every day should be a journey into something new, with plenty of good literature and time to focus on what is being learned. We are delighted to have “our” students back and ready to work.
Along with several teachers new to our faculty, we have had two teachers shift positions. Mrs. Bonnie Thomas is our new Title I Facilitator, replacing Ellen Condry. Ms. Condry will be working with parent involvement at the four Title I schools, so you’ll still be seeing her around. Another change is Mr. Daryl Chauvin. Mr. Chauvin will now be working in the Title I computer lab. After teaching first grade for so long, it will be wonderful for him to be able to work with all of our students.
As always, I will maintain an open door policy. When there is anything I can do to support your efforts or simply answer questions, know that I am here for you. I am counting on you all to let me know what is going on in your classrooms and in our school. Here at BVES we are truly wild about learning—once again, welcome to the new school year and a great adventure!
